Description

Excellent plant for a security screen or formal hedge with thick, dark green leaves and star-shaped scented flowers. Large red to purple fruits are edible and attract birds and monkeys. Slow to start. Good for coastal gardens. Thorns provide a good security barrier once fully grown. Evergreen, sun, light shade; light frost; low to moderate water.
