Description
The Wild Rosemary forms a soft 1 m high shrub with pale silvery grey leaves growing in clusters along the woody stems. Tiny sparkling white flowers with dark purple centres cover the shrub in floral snowdrops from July to October, born on the tips of each stem. These are followed by tiny fruits concealed by white hairs that are said to resemble a fluffy snow fall . The silver gleam on the leaves comes from the tiny silver hairs that trap moisture enabling the plant to survive extensive droughts.
