Description
Acacia sieberiana, the popular Paperbark tree, is one of the few Acacias that grows well at the coast. Its’ flaking bark in shades of brown, cream and yellow, is one of the main reasons for its popularity. It is a favoured habitat for many insects and lizards and for this reason insectivorous birds can be spotted rootling around inside the bark in the hunt for a meal. The flat- topped canopy provides only a dappled shade and wild grasses and shrubs are easy to grow in this light shade.
